This March Break, prepare for an exhilarating adventure at the Museum of Industry in Stellarton. We’re thrilled to unveil not one, but two exciting video game exhibits that will transport you into the heart of gaming innovation.

Get your game on with Game Changers, produced by the Canada Science and Technology Museum. Embark on a journey through the fascinating history of video games, where innovation has left an indelible mark. From memorable PONG to photorealistic games of today, witness the evolution of video games firsthand. Ever wonder what it’s like to be part of a video game? Now’s your chance! Explore the collection of 16 playable video games.  Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or a curious newbie, there’s something for everyone.

Discover the diverse world of Nova Scotian video games with Ready to Play, developed by the Museum of Industry. From fantasy universes to cozy puzzle games, local studios create experiences for every platform right here in Nova Scotia.

March Break hours: Saturday March 9 to Sunday March 17, 2024, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm daily.

Regular admission fees include all March Break activities.

Drop-in Programs, each day:

Kids - Come play on our train! Ring the bell on Locomotive #5 and try lifting a heavy load with Hughie the Crane.

Lego Tables - Unleash your imagination! Grab those colourful bricks, stack them high, and let your creativity soar.  

Craft - Dive into the world of pixel art and design your very own video game character using paper pixels and colored pencils.

Gallery Quest - Search the Museum galleries on a quest to find our missing controllers and collect a prize.

 

Small Kids Area – A cozy, quieter space where kids can play with soft blocks and colour.
