Heritage Day
Mon. February 16, 2015 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Join curator David Woods and quiltmaker Heather Cromwell and friends for an engaging dialogue about The Secret Codes African Nova Scotian narrative and picture quilts. These original quilts, now on exhibit at the Museum, were created by African Nova Scotian quiltmakers to explore community history and personal experience. Based on drawings created for the quiltmakers by Dartmouth artist, writer and exhibition curator David Woods or from their own designs, the results are a spectacular feast for the eyes. Join us to learn more about how ideas on paper were transformed into remarkable fabric scenes.
Celebrate Heritage Day with free admission to the Museum of Industry.
