Once up in the air, the hammer is swung to its specially reinforced concrete pad
The hammer is lifted from the flat deck and set on it’s feet
The Albion locomotive is on load skates which allow us to tow it with the forklift when we need to move it

This flywheel from a steam engine was made in Amherst for the steel mill in Sydney. It is 20 feet across and weighs about 75,000 lbs. That’s just one piece! The whole engine weighed about 130 tons.
