There are acres of history, stories, and artifacts to explore in our exhibit galleries, the largest in Nova Scotia. When you enter, you move through time, discovering how our province evolved from a rural colony of farmers, fishers, and crafts people, to an industrial economy, society, and landscape, shaped in particular by manufacturing; how and why the significance of our industrial strength diminished over time, and the nature of our work and prosperity today.
It is the story of Nova Scotians working together, of the tools they used and the products they made. It is a story of the growth of industry, which changed how Nova Scotians worked and lived over the last two hundred years.
All exhibit text is in English and French.
